The job's done, and the invoice is out.

Ask Centrus for the invoice the day a field service job is finished. It reads the worksheet, the timesheets and the PO on the job, lists the lines for you to check, then raises it in your job system or Xero and emails it as your PDF.

how it runs

Behind the invoice.

Kate invoices the week's finished jobs on Friday morning. This is what Centrus checks before anything is raised.

What's ready to bill

Ask what finished this week and isn't invoiced. Centrus reads the jobs live and flags missing paperwork.

Nothing finished and forgotten

before and after

The same invoice, two ways.

Riverside Care's plant room lighting, JOB/90244, finished on Thu 22/10 and invoiced on Friday morning.

  1. Finding it

Without Centrus: Spotted at month end, when the job list is checked

With Centrus: Listed on Friday with the rest of the week's work

  2. The hours

Without Centrus: Taken from the worksheet, the timesheet unchecked

With Centrus: Checked against the timesheet before billing

  3. The lines

Without Centrus: Retyped from the worksheet and PO into Xero

With Centrus: Written from the job, priced at your rates

  4. The job

Without Centrus: Left open, so nobody can tell it's been billed

With Centrus: Marked invoiced when the draft is raised

Questions about invoicing from chat

Wherever you raise invoices today: in BigChange, Joblogic or Simpro, or in Xero. Centrus can also write it as a PDF on your letterhead and email it from Outlook or Gmail to the client's accounts team. Your job system and Xero stay the record.

No. It lists the lines first and waits for you to say send. Ask for a draft and it stops there, so finance can approve it in Xero as they do now. Nothing reaches the client until someone says so.

From the job and your own rates: the labour on the timesheets, the parts on the worksheet and the POs, priced at the client's agreed rates. Where two records disagree, such as the hours on a timesheet and a worksheet, it asks which to bill.

Whoever you allow. Access is set per person, and in BigChange each tool action, such as raising an invoice, can be allowed or blocked by role. The desk can prepare the invoice and leave sending to finance.

Yes. Chat on Teams and WhatsApp runs on the same engine as the web app, so finance can ask from Teams and get the same check, the same lines and the same draft in Xero.
