About this policy

This Cookie Policy applies to centrus.ai (opens in a new tab) and the Centrus application. It was last updated on 16/10/2026.

In the UK, cookies and similar technologies are regulated by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as updated by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and by UK GDPR where personal data is involved.

We tell you what we use and why. Where consent is required, it has to be a clear positive action. Continuing to browse is not consent. Where the law allows storage without consent, as it does for statistics that help us improve our own website, we tell you clearly and you can turn it off easily and for free.

What we use

We use cookies and similar technologies in these categories.

Necessary. Needed for the website or application to work: loading the service, keeping you signed in, completing a payment you have asked for, and remembering a cookie choice so we do not ask on every page. These do not require consent.

Appearance. Remembers whether you picked light or dark mode. It stores a choice you made, so it is treated as strictly necessary and needs no consent. It does not identify you and is not used for advertising.

Analytics. Optional. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and how they find us, so we can improve the site. If you are in the UK, it runs from your first visit and a notice tells you how to turn it off. UK law allows this for statistics that improve our own website, as long as we explain it and you can object (PECR Schedule A1, added by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025). Everywhere else, it only loads after you select Accept analytics, or turn it on in Manage cookie settings. We tell whether you are in the UK from your device’s time zone setting, not by looking up your IP address. If you turn analytics off or reject it, it stops and the site works the same.

We do not use cookies to show you third-party advertising, and we do not sell cookie data. Tools you choose to connect (for example when you sign in to another product through Centrus) may set their own cookies under that provider’s notices.

Our tag does not set the older Google Analytics cookies (_gid and _gat). If your browser has them from an earlier visit, they are removed when you turn off, reject or withdraw analytics. The Centrus application at app.centrus.ai (opens in a new tab) sets its own necessary cookies to keep you signed in.

How to control cookies

When you first visit from the UK, a notice explains that we use Google Analytics and lets you turn it off in one click. Everywhere else, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing optional runs until you choose. We ask again after 6 months.

To change your mind, use the Manage cookie settings button below or at the top of this page. If you turn analytics off or withdraw consent, it stops straight away and we delete the Google Analytics cookies and analytics storage from your browser. You can also email support@centrus.ai.

You can also control cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect sign-in to the application. You can usually still read the public website.

Privacy

Where these technologies involve personal data, UK GDPR applies as well as PECR. How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We will update this policy if how we use cookies changes. If we introduce a new optional purpose, we will tell you before using it, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
