What standard agents are

Agent Builder is where you build your own agents: describe a workflow, shape it on the canvas, and it runs on a schedule, when an email arrives or when another system sends an alert. Most of what a business wants to automate fits there. See Open Agent Builder.

Some jobs need more than a workflow. Joining a Google Meet call as a participant, or putting a chatbot on your public website for visitors to use, takes infrastructure of its own. For jobs like these, Centrus builds and runs standard agents. You set one up and point it at your knowledge; you do not build it.

In the app, a standard agent carries a Standard badge and is created by Centrus. Agents you build in Agent Builder carry a Custom badge instead.

  2. 2The Meeting Agent.
  • Website chatbot. Train a chatbot on the knowledge you choose, give it your colours and greeting, then add it to your website with a short piece of code. Visitors ask it questions at any hour, and it can capture their details or hand the chat to your team. See Website chatbot.
  • Meeting Agent. Send a bot to a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams call. It records the meeting, keeps the transcript, writes a summary, and can save the notes to Train so Centrus can answer questions about the meeting later. See Meeting Agent.

Find them

Open Agents from the menu on the left. If your organisation has Agent Builder, standard agents sit at the top of the list, above the agents your team has built, each with a Use Agent button. Without Agent Builder, each one is a card on the same page. Either way, Use Agent opens it.

Inside, each standard agent works the same way. You create one or more instances, each with its own name and settings, so you could run one chatbot for the main website and another for a careers page. An instance starts as Personal. Its creator can share it with selected colleagues or with the whole organisation, and choose whether they can edit it or only use it.

The Agents page needs agent access. If Agents is missing from your menu, ask an admin. See Edit users and roles.

Allowances

Standard agents have allowances of their own, separate from your plan's message credits and from automation credits.

  • Website chatbot: 10 free AI message credits a month to try it in the playground. Subscribe at £49.99/month adds website embedding and 1,000 credits a month, and further blocks of 1,000 are £9.99 a month each.
  • Meeting Agent: 100 minutes a month and one bot in a meeting at a time are included. Each Meeting Agent add-on block, at £19.99 a month, adds 1,000 minutes and one more bot. See Add-ons.

Ask for a standard agent

If there is a job like these that would help your team and Centrus does not have an agent for it yet, get in touch. Tell us what the agent should do and where it needs to work.
