Add-ons
Add-ons are the extra monthly amounts on Billing: seats, storage, messages, branding, meetings and Agent Builder capacity. This guide covers each card, the price on it, and how to add one.
Checked against the app on
What add-ons are
An add-on raises one allowance, or switches one feature on, without changing the plan itself. Small Team stays Small Team. The extra is a monthly charge on top, at the price printed on the card. It is not a one-off top-up, and unused allowance is not kept for the next period. What each allowance is for is in Credits and browser minutes. How the plan itself works is in Plan and usage.
The card is titled Add-ons, with the line Extend your plan with additional resources. The boxes on it start at 0 every time you open the page. They count only what you are adding now, not what you already pay for. A box at 0 does not mean you have none. What is already on the account is listed under Active add-ons on the Subscription tab, further down this guide.
The prices below are the ones published for these add-ons. On the card they are shown with pence. The pricing page calls the branding add-on White label. On this card it is Custom Branding.
- Extra message credits: £10.00 per 1,000 messages. Each press of + adds 1,000 to Monthly Messages.
- Extra storage: £5.00 per GB. Each press adds a gigabyte to Storage.
- Extra users: £10.00 per user. Each press adds one seat.
- Custom Branding: £49.99 per month. Your logo, colours and branded addresses. See Branding.
- Meeting Agent: £19.99 per month, and the line 1,000 minutes + 1 bot. See Meeting Agent.
- Extra Automation Credits: £50.00 per 5,000 credits, per month.
- Extra Browser Use Minutes: £20.00 per 300 minutes, per month.
Those last two can be changed when Agent Builder is included, which it is on Small Team and Large Team. On an older price that does not include it, both cards are greyed out until you add Agent Builder Professional at £200.00 per month. That card is not shown on the current prices. The same two blocks, as drawn from the builder, are in Buy more credits or browser minutes.
Where to find them
Billing is an admin page. Open Settings from the menu on the left, then Billing. Anyone who is not an admin does not see the tab, and opening the address sends them away. The organisation owner is included: the menu treats the owner as an admin. Who can be made an admin is in Edit users and roles.
The page title is Billing settings, with the line Manage your plan and billing details. The switch on the right reads General, Subscription and Invoices. It opens on General. On a narrow screen the switch drops under the title and stretches to the width of the page. Scroll past Current Plan and Available Plans. The Add-ons card is under those.
Manage your plan and billing details
Extend your plan with additional resources
- 1General, the tab the page opens on. Subscription and Invoices are beside it.
- 2The Add-ons card, under Current Plan and Available Plans.
The card is there when the plan includes add-ons. Small Team and Large Team do. If you do not see it, this plan does not include them. The free plan does not, and moving to the free plan takes add-ons off the organisation. That change is covered in Plan and usage, not here.
Extra messages, storage and users
The first three cards are the quantity add-ons, in this order: messages, storage, then users. Each has an icon, the name, the price, and a row made of a minus button, a box, and +. The box is read-only. You cannot type a number into it. + adds one block. − takes one block off again, and it is greyed out while the box reads 0.
Extra message credits
£10.00 per 1,000 messages
Extra storage
£5.00 per GB
Extra users
£10.00 per user
- 1Extra message credits. Two presses of + show 2,000, which is two blocks of 1,000.
- 2Extra storage. One press shows 1GB.
- 3Extra users. Three presses show 3.
The messages box shows the count with a thousands separator, so one press reads 1,000 and two presses read 2,000. It does not read 2 × 1,000. Storage shows a size, so one press reads 1GB. Users shows a plain number, so three presses read 3. The price line on each card is exactly £10.00 per 1,000 messages, £5.00 per GB or £10.00 per user. The words per month are not on these three lines. The charge is still monthly: paying adds a monthly amount, not a single purchase that expires.
The three amounts are added to the plan allowance. They do not replace it, and they do not reset what has already been used this period. On Large Team the plan is 2,500 message credits, 10 GB and 20 seats. John Martin, the admin at Meridian FM, adds the amounts in the figure: 2,000 messages, 1 GB and 3 seats. Current Plan then reads 4,500 message credits, 11 GB and 23 seats. The extra charge is £20 for the messages, £5 for the storage and £30 for the seats, £55 a month on top of the plan. The meters themselves, and what happens when one of them fills up, are in Plan and usage.
The box never shows the amount you already pay for. It starts at 0 even when Active add-ons already lists messages, storage or seats. Read that list before you press +, so you do not buy the same block twice.
Custom Branding
Custom Branding is not a stepper. The card shows a paintbrush icon, the name Custom Branding, the line £49.99 per month, and a blue Purchase button. There is no + and no box.
Custom Branding
£49.99 per month
- 1Purchase pays for Custom Branding on its own. It does not wait for Update add-ons.
Purchase opens the secure payment page immediately. It sends Custom Branding only. If you have already pressed + on messages, storage, users or any other card, those amounts are not included in this payment. Pay for them with Update add-ons first, or come back and do it after. The two actions are separate payments.
When branding is already on, the button reads Purchased and cannot be clicked. After Payment Success, open Branding. The controls replace the card that asks you to purchase the add-on: domains, WhatsApp, colours, logos and the preview. What each control changes is in Branding. People who are not admins never see that tab. They do see the branded app once it is on.
Meeting Agent
The Meeting Agent card is always on this page. It shows a video icon, the name Meeting Agent, then two lines: £19.99 per month and 1,000 minutes + 1 bot. Under those is the same −, box and + as the quantity cards. The box reads 0 until you press +, then 1 × 1,000 min, then 2 × 1,000 min, and so on.
Meeting Agent
£19.99 per month
1,000 minutes + 1 bot
- 1One block. The box reads 1 × 1,000 min. Each further press of + adds another 1,000 minutes and another bot.
Every organisation already has 100 minutes and 1 bot before anyone buys this card. A block adds 1,000 minutes and 1 bot on top of that, it does not replace it. One block makes the allowance 1,100 minutes and 2 bots. Two blocks make it 2,100 minutes and 3 bots. Active add-ons shows the total, so after one block the Meeting Agent row reads 1,100 minutes/month • 2 concurrent bots.
The minutes are counted for the calendar month, and the count goes back on the 1st. A meeting that would pass the minutes, or a bot that would pass the number allowed at once, is refused. The wording of those refusals is in Messages you might see, below. What the bot does in the meeting is in Meeting Agent.
Agent Builder Professional
On the current Small Team and Large Team prices, Agent Builder is included. You will not see an Agent Builder Professional card, and you do not buy it. Both plans include the same 10,000 automation credits, 300 browser minutes and up to 100 published agents. That is covered in Plan and usage and in Automation credits and usage limits.
You see the card only when the price you are on does not already include Agent Builder. It shows a lightning icon, the name Agent Builder Professional, the line £200.00 per month, and a second line 10,000 credits · 300 browser minutes · 100 automations. If your live limits are already loaded, that second line shows those figures instead. The button reads Purchase.
Purchase does not open the payment page. It changes the button to Selected. The card is bought only when you then click Update add-ons and pay, in the same payment as any other amounts you have stepped up. Once it is on, a green Active tag sits beside the name and the button reads Active. It cannot be clicked again.
Agent Builder Professional
£200.00 per month
10,000 credits · 300 browser minutes · 100 automations
Extra Automation Credits
£50.00 per 5,000 credits, per month
Requires Agent Builder Professional
Extra Browser Use Minutes
£20.00 per 300 minutes, per month
Requires Agent Builder Professional
- 1Purchase marks the card Selected. Payment happens on Update add-ons, not on this button.
- 2Extra Automation Credits cannot be changed yet. The amber line is Requires Agent Builder Professional.
- 3Extra Browser Use Minutes is greyed out for the same reason. + and − do nothing.
While that card is on the page and Agent Builder is not yet on, the two cards under it are greyed out. The amber line on each reads Requires Agent Builder Professional, and both + and − are greyed out. Select Professional, pay, and the two cards can then be changed.
Extra credits and browser minutes
When Agent Builder is included, Extra Automation Credits and Extra Browser Use Minutes can be changed like Meeting Agent. The price lines are £50.00 per 5,000 credits, per month and £20.00 per 300 minutes, per month. One press of + makes the box read 1 × 5,000 credits or 1 × 300 min. A second press reads 2 × 5,000 credits or 2 × 300 min.
Extend your plan with additional resources
Extra Automation Credits
£50.00 per 5,000 credits, per month
Extra Browser Use Minutes
£20.00 per 300 minutes, per month
- 1One block of automation credits, 5,000 on top of the 10,000 the plan includes.
- 2Browser minutes left at 0, so this payment does not add any.
- 3Update add-ons is blue because a block has been added. It is grey while every box is still 0.
One credit block takes a plan that includes 10,000 automation credits to 15,000. One minutes block takes 300 browser minutes to 600. The amount already used is not wiped. The new room is there once payment has completed, including when the allowance was already used up. Both allowances reset with the billing period, not on the 1st. The reset date, and what a credit pays for, are in Credits and browser minutes.
If these two cards are greyed out and the Professional card is not on the page, the amber line reads Included with Small Team and Large Team instead. The steppers stay grey until Agent Builder is on. The same cards, in a row, are drawn in Buy more credits or browser minutes.
Add or change an add-on
There is no confirmation window. Update add-ons is grey until at least one box is above 0, or Agent Builder Professional reads Selected. Custom Branding does not use this button. Its Purchase button is the whole action.
- 1Open Settings, Billing. It opens on General. Scroll to Add-ons.
- 2Press + once for each block you want. Press − if you have added one too many. The box shows the pending amount, such as 2,000, 1GB, 3, 1 × 1,000 min or 1 × 5,000 credits.
- 3For Agent Builder Professional, if that card is on the page, click Purchase so the button reads Selected.
- 4Click Update add-ons. A note at the top of the screen reads Processing addons, then Redirecting to payment gateway. The secure payment page opens.
- 5Pay on that page. You are returned to a page titled Payment Success, with Go back. Go back opens Billing.
- 6For Custom Branding, click Purchase on that card instead. It is its own payment, and it does not include the other cards.
- 1Processing addons appears as soon as you click Update add-ons.
- 2Redirecting to payment gateway follows it, and the secure payment page opens.
Messages, storage, users, Meeting Agent, extra credits, extra minutes and a Selected Professional card all go in the one payment from Update add-ons. You do not pay for each card separately, apart from Custom Branding. The boxes count the blocks in this payment only. As the payment page opens they return to 0. That is not a cancellation. It means the card is ready for a later change.
Payment Success
1Go back
- 1Payment Success means the payment page has confirmed the charge. Go back returns to Billing.
The allowance changes when payment completes, not when you click Update add-ons. Until then, Current Plan and Active add-ons still show the old amounts. If you leave the payment page without paying, you see Payment failed and the same Go back button. Nothing has been added. The boxes will be back at 0, and you can choose the amounts again.
Add-ons are monthly. Each block raises the allowance for every period from the day payment completes, until the add-on is taken off. Buying a block does not reset the amount already used.
Take an add-on off
Before you pay, − takes a pending block back off. At 0 the minus button is grey, and Update add-ons is grey again, so nothing is sent. This is the only removal this card can do.
Extra message credits
£10.00 per 1,000 messages
- 1The box is back at 0. − cannot go below that, and it cannot see blocks you have already paid for.
- 2Update add-ons stays grey until a box is above 0 or Professional reads Selected.
This card only adds. It cannot reduce an add-on you already pay for, and Purchased on Custom Branding and Active on Agent Builder Professional cannot be clicked to turn those off. To see what is on the account, open Subscription. The second card is titled Active add-ons, with the line Summary of purchased add-ons.
Summary of purchased add-ons
- 1Extra messages is the total bought, here two blocks. Storage and users on the rows below are the same kind of total.
- 2Custom branding reads Enabled once branding is on.
- 3Website Chatbot is listed here. It is not bought from the Add-ons card. The numbers are an example.
The rows are Extra messages, Extra storage, Extra users, Custom branding, Meeting Agent and Website Chatbot. A further row, Website Chatbot messages, appears only when message blocks have been bought for it. An empty row has no figure in it. This list does not include automation credits, browser minutes or Agent Builder Professional. Those show on the builder, which Credits and browser minutes and Automation credits and usage limits cover.
The Website Chatbot row is the public assistant on your site. Buying it, and what the credits mean, is in Website chatbot. It is not one of the cards on General.
Cancel subscription on the Subscription tab ends the plan and clears add-ons from the organisation. There is no button on the Add-ons card that drops one paid add-on and leaves the plan in place. Manage subscriptions and Cancel subscription are covered in Subscription and invoices. Moving to the free plan clears add-ons as well, which Plan and usage covers.
On a phone
The cards stack one under another and work the same way. +, −, Purchase and Update add-ons are the same controls. The General, Subscription and Invoices switch drops under the page title. Pay on the secure payment page as you would on a wide screen.

Who can do what
Buying is an admin action. Using what was bought is not. The allowances are the organisation's, so a seat, a message credit or a meeting minute is spent by whoever is doing the work.
| Action | Who |
|---|---|
| Open Settings, Billing, and see the Add-ons card | Admins, including the organisation owner. Anyone else is sent away. |
| Press +, Purchase or Update add-ons, and pay | Admins. The payment is refused for anyone else. |
| Read Active add-ons on Subscription | Admins. See Subscription and invoices. |
| Spend the extra message credits, storage or seats | Everyone. The higher totals apply to the whole organisation. |
| Use Meeting Agent minutes and bots | Whoever runs a meeting. The limit is the organisation's. |
| See branding once it is on | Everyone in the organisation. Only an admin can buy it. See Branding. |
| Change extra automation credits or browser minutes | Admins, and only once Agent Builder is on. What the credits pay for is in Credits and browser minutes. |
| Cancel subscription, which also clears add-ons | Admins. See Subscription and invoices. |
A person who is not an admin cannot raise an allowance. When Chat, a meeting or an agent stops because a limit is reached, the practical step is to tell an admin which card to open. The fix on this page is a block on that card, not a change of plan.
