Subscription and invoices

Subscription and Invoices are where an admin reads the plan you are paying for, the add-ons on it, and every invoice. This guide covers those two tabs of Billing, the secure payment page, and what cancelling does.

The Subscription tab

Billing is an admin page. Open Settings from the menu on the left, then Billing. Anyone who is not an admin does not see the tab, and opening the address sends them away. The page title is Billing settings, with the line Manage your plan and billing details underneath.

Along the top is a switch with three choices: General, Subscription and Invoices. The page opens on General, which is the current plan, the usage meters and changing plan. That is covered in Plan and usage. This guide starts on Subscription.

  4. 4Manage subscriptions, which opens the secure payment page. Cancel subscription sits beside it.

The card heading is Subscription, with the line Manage your active subscription. The tag at the right is the status. active is green. paused is orange. cancelled is red. When there is no subscription the tag reads no subscription and is grey. The word is lowercase, as the page prints it.

On a phone the same three choices stretch across the width, and the four rows stay in one column. The two buttons wrap, one under the other, when the line is too narrow for both. Reading the card is straightforward on a phone. A long invoice table is easier on a computer, because Created, View and Download PDF sit off to the right and the table scrolls sideways to reach them.

Read the subscription

The four rows are the subscription you are paying for. They are not the usage meters. Messages, storage and seats are on General, and how those meters count is in Plan and usage. Add-on quantities are the next card down, not these rows.

  • Plan is the name on the subscription. In the figures the organisation is on Large Team. Yours may say Small Team, Large Team or Enterprise.
  • Amount is the price on the subscription, shown in pounds. It is the plan price, not a total of every add-on. Add-on charges appear as their own invoices.
  • Current period is the start date, an arrow, and the end date, both as day/month/year. In the figure that is 12/09/2026 → 12/10/2026, one month of Large Team. On an annual plan the period is the year.
  • Latest invoice is a View link when there is one. It opens that invoice in a new tab. It is the same kind of page as View on the Invoices tab.

A row with nothing to show is left as a dash. That is what you see on Plan, Amount, Current period and Latest invoice when there is no subscription. If the dates are missing but the subscription is still there, Current period shows the status word instead of a pair of dates.

These are the published prices, so you can recognise Amount. Enterprise has no published price.

PlanMonth to monthAnnual, per monthCharged for the year

Large Team£499.99£399.99£4,799.88
EnterpriseNo published priceNo published priceAgreed with Centrus

Annual billing is 20 per cent less than month to month, and it is billed as a yearly amount in advance. On an annual plan the plan invoice is the yearly charge, such as £4,799.88 for Large Team, and that is the Total on the Invoices tab. Month to month, the plan invoice is £499.99 for Large Team or £299.99 for Small Team each period.

The dates under Current period are the billing period. Message credits still start again on the 1st of the calendar month. Automation credits and browser minutes follow this period, including on an annual plan, where the period is the year. That difference is in Credits and browser minutes.

Active add-ons

Under the subscription, Active add-ons has the line Summary of purchased add-ons. It lists quantities, not prices. A row you have not bought is a dash, so the card can be almost empty and still be on the page. Buying and removing add-ons is done on General, and the steps are in Add-ons. This card is only the summary.

  1. 1The heading Active add-ons, with Summary of purchased add-ons underneath.
  2. 2The rows. A row you have not bought shows a dash. Website Chatbot messages is left off the card entirely until a message block has been bought.
  • Extra messages is a count, such as 2,000 messages. At zero the row is a dash. The published price is £10 per 1,000 a month.
  • Extra storage is a size, such as 5GB. At zero the row is a dash. The published price is £5 per GB a month.
  • Extra users is a count, such as 2 users. At zero the row is a dash. The published price is £10 per user a month.
  • Custom branding reads Enabled when Custom Branding is on, and a dash when it is not. The published price is £49.99 a month. What it switches on is in Add-ons.
  • Meeting Agent gives the minutes a month and how many bots can join at once. The figure reads 1,000 minutes/month • 1 concurrent bots. At 100 minutes or fewer the row is a dash, so a small allowance does not appear.
  • Website Chatbot is the website assistant. Active means it is on, followed by the credits used, the limit, and the percentage. The count covers the current billing period, the same dates as Current period.
  • Website Chatbot messages appears only when message blocks have been bought. One block reads 1 block · +1,000 credits/month. Two blocks would say blocks.

A paid website assistant starts at 1,000 credits, and each block adds another 1,000. One block is a limit of 2,000, which is why the figure shows 840 / 2,000 credits (42%) on the Website Chatbot row and +1,000 credits/month on the row under it. Those credits belong to the website assistant. They are not the Monthly Messages meter on General.

If the assistant has not been bought, Website Chatbot can read Free trial, with use against a limit of 10. Buying it changes the row to Active. The published price of the assistant is £49.99 a month, the same figure as Custom Branding, so an invoice for £49.99 can be either one. Open the invoice to see which.

Automation credits and browser minutes are not rows on this card. Their published add-on prices are £50 per 5,000 automation credits a month, and £20 per 300 browser minutes a month. Those charges still appear in the invoice list. Where to read the balances is in Credits and browser minutes.

The Invoices tab

Choose Invoices on the same switch. The heading is Invoices. The list is every invoice on the billing account: the plan, and each add-on, as separate rows. It is not a list of your customers' invoices.

  1. 1Search invoices. The list filters as you type.
  2. 2The columns Invoice, Total, Status, Created and Actions. The control under the list is 10 to a page.

The columns, from left to right, are Invoice, Total, Status, Created and Actions. Invoice is the invoice number. Total is the invoice total in pounds, such as £499.99. Status is a tag with the status word, in lowercase. Created is the date the invoice was created, as day/month/year. Actions is View and Download PDF.

The status words you can see are paid, open, draft, void and uncollectible. paid has been collected. open has not. The tag has no colour of its own. It is not the green, orange or red tag on the Subscription card.

The list is newest first. It loads up to 100 invoices, 10 to a page. The page control under the table reads 10 / page. Invoices older than those 100 are not on this tab, so download the PDF when you need a copy for your records.

Most totals match a published price, which helps you tell the rows apart. £499.99 is a month of Large Team. £19.99 is Meeting Agent for a month. £50.00 is one block of extra automation credits. £49.99 is either Custom Branding or the website assistant. The row does not name the charge. View does.

If the organisation has no billing account, the table has no rows. The same empty table is what a search shows when nothing matches.

Find an invoice

The box at the right is labelled Search invoices. It filters as you type, and it can be cleared. You do not press a separate search button. The match is against the invoice number, the status word and the currency code. It does not match the amount, and it does not match the date.

  1. 1The search box, with open typed. The cross clears it.
  2. 2The invoices that match. Here that is the one open row.

Searching open leaves invoices that are not yet paid. Searching paid leaves the ones that are. Searching a piece of the invoice number, such as 1048, leaves the rows whose number contains it. A search for £50 or for 01/10/2026 does not filter the list, because the amount and the date are not part of the match. Clear the box to see every loaded invoice again.

The filter runs in the page, on the invoices already loaded. It does not look past the 100. If the invoice you want is older than that, it will not appear however you search.

View and download

Each row has two buttons. View opens the invoice in a new tab. Download PDF opens the PDF in a new tab, which you can then save. View on Latest invoice, on the Subscription tab, opens the newest invoice the same way.

  3. 3Click View to read it, or Download PDF to keep the file.

If an invoice has no page to open, View is greyed out and does nothing. If it has no PDF, Download PDF is greyed out and does nothing. Use whichever button is still available. Latest invoice on the Subscription tab is different: it is a View link when there is one, and a dash when there is not. It is never a greyed button.

The invoice you open is the record of the charge. The Invoices tab does not name the line items. £49.99 can be Custom Branding or the website assistant, and £20.00 can be two extra users, two blocks of message credits, or 300 browser minutes. Open View before you file it.

Payment details

Billing does not show the card number, and it does not show a billing address. Both stay off this page. To update the card, click Manage subscriptions.

Manage subscriptions opens the secure payment page in this same window. While it opens, the button shows that it is working. When you leave that page, you come back to Billing. The button stays available after a subscription has ended, as long as the organisation still has a billing account.

If the page cannot be opened, a note reads Unable to open subscription management. Please try again later. That is also what you see when the organisation has no billing account yet, for example before the first paid plan. Nothing more specific is shown.

Cancel or change

Changing plan is not done with these two buttons. To move between Small Team, Large Team, Enterprise and the free plan, use General and follow Plan and usage. To add or remove an add-on, follow Add-ons. Cancel subscription is only for ending the paid subscription.

Cancel subscription ends it immediately. There is no confirm window. Do not click it unless you mean to stop the paid plan now.

The button is greyed out when there is no active subscription to send. That is the case when the tag reads cancelled, paused or no subscription. While the tag reads active, the button can be clicked.

  1. 1Open Subscription and read Plan, Amount and Current period.
  2. 2Click Cancel subscription only if that is the subscription you mean to end.
  3. 3Wait for the page to reload. There is no success note from this button.
  4. 4Read the tag. It should say cancelled, and Cancel subscription should now be greyed out.
  5. 5Open General and check the current plan. It is the free plan.

Cancelling moves the organisation to the free plan, takes off add-ons, and stops Agent Builder workflows. The charge is adjusted for the unused part of the current period. The plan lines on this tab can still show the subscription that just ended, including the old Amount and Current period. The plan you are on now is the one on General.

The allowances on the free plan are not on the pricing page, so they are not quoted here. People can still sign in. What they can do is whatever that plan includes, and the meters on General are the check. Moving back to Small Team or Large Team is a new plan change on General.

Ending the subscription from the secure payment page has the same result. Centrus moves the organisation to the free plan once that cancellation comes through, takes off add-ons, and stops Agent Builder workflows. Paused, in orange, means the subscription is paused. Cancel subscription is greyed out in that state. Manage subscriptions can still open the secure payment page.

Invoices for your records

Total is the invoice total. This page does not split it into net and VAT, and it does not show a VAT number or a billing address. The invoice you open with View, and the file from Download PDF, is the record of the charge. Keep that file. The row on this tab is the number, the total, the status and the date, which is enough to find it again.

Created is when the invoice was raised, not the period it covers. The period is on the Subscription card, under Current period, and on the invoice itself. A plan billed annually has one plan invoice for the year. Add-ons are monthly, so they can appear as their own rows through the year, on their own dates.

Amounts are in pounds. A total always shows two decimal places, so £20 is written £20.00 and £49.99 stays £49.99. The date is always day/month/year, including on a phone.

Messages you might see

These are the messages and states on Subscription and Invoices. The secure payment page has its own messages, which are not listed here. Plan changes, including Plan change failed and Successfully changed to Free plan, belong to General and are listed in Plan and usage. The cancel button on this tab does not show that success note. It reloads the page instead.
