bigchange + outlook
The work order is in the inbox. The job is in BigChange.
BigChange's Outlook add-in lets the office save an email and its attachments to a note in BigChange. Centrus works on the inbox without anyone opening it: portal work orders become unscheduled jobs, subcontractor sheets become worksheets, and certificates go out from the job while the customer is on the line.

What the BigChange add-in does, and what Centrus adds
Keep BigChange's Outlook add-in. Centrus works across both systems, on the work that still falls to someone in the office.
BigChange's Outlook add-in
- The BigChange for Email add-in saves an email and its attachments to a new or existing note in BigChange.
- From that note, the office can schedule a follow-up and assign the work to someone else.
- It works in Outlook on Windows and Mac, on the email the person has open.
What Centrus adds
- Portal work orders read from the inbox and raised in BigChange as unscheduled jobs, with the site, the priority and the PO.
- Subcontractor job sheets rewritten as your worksheet and created on the job, matched to the PO.
- Certificates and photos found on the job and sent in the customer's email thread.
- Open quotes chased from your own mailbox every weekday, skipping anyone who has replied.

how one runs
A portal email, raised as a job
An agent watches the inbox the portals send to. The desk stays on the phones and only has to book the job.
The work order lands
A client portal emails a works order to the inbox the agent watches in Outlook, such as a jobs@ address.
Read, PDF and all
The agent reads the site, the priority and the PO from the email, or from the PDF attached to it.
Raised as unscheduled
The job is created in BigChange as unscheduled, with the details matching what the portal sent.
The account manager told
They get the job number by email, so nobody types the work order in twice or chases the portal for it.
setup
Two connections, each made once
Each system connects on its own card in Integrations. Agents keep their own connection, so a scheduled run never depends on one person staying signed in.
Connect BigChange
In Integrations, open BigChange REST and paste three keys from your BigChange account: Customer ID, Client ID and Client secret. Centrus checks them before saving.
Connect Outlook
Each person clicks Connect on the Microsoft Outlook card in Integrations and signs in with Microsoft. One sign-in covers mail and calendar. If your Microsoft 365 asks for an administrator's approval, IT approves Centrus once.
