What it does
Simpro connects Centrus chat to your organisation's Simpro build. Once it is set up, you can ask about the diary, jobs, quotes, invoices, customers and sites in an ordinary chat, and Centrus looks the answer up in Simpro while you wait. It can also make changes when you ask, such as scheduling a job, raising a quote or creating a vendor order.

- 2The Simpro card. It reads Not Connected until an administrator connects it.
- 3Connect, where an organisation administrator enters the Simpro build address and API key.
- 4How to Use, with notes on the diary and one question to start with.
An administrator connects Simpro once for the whole organisation, and everyone else then clicks Enable on the same card. Agents connect to Simpro separately, on their own step: see Simpro in Agent Builder. Connecting on this card does not connect an agent, and connecting an agent does not turn Simpro on in chat.
Before you start
- An organisation administrator to connect it. Centrus accepts the key only from an administrator. For everyone else, Connect is greyed out until an administrator has connected, and then it becomes Enable.
- Your Simpro build address, the API key, and the company ID. The build address has to start with
https:/. The window's example is/ https:/. Company ID starts at 0, which is valid for a single-company build. A multi-company build may need a different ID./ yourbuild.simprosuite.com - A key that Simpro will accept. Before anything is saved, Centrus calls
GET /on that build. If Simpro refuses the key, nothing is stored. What the key may read and change is decided in Simpro.api/ v1.0/ companies/
Base URL
Your Simpro build address. It must start with https://.
Access token
The API key for that build. Centrus stores it encrypted.
Company ID
0 is valid for a single-company build. A multi-company build may use another ID.
The key belongs to the organisation, not to one person. Everyone who enables Simpro works through the same API key, so a change made from chat is made with that key, whoever asked for it. The Integrations overview explains how organisation connections differ from a personal Microsoft or Google sign-in.
Connect Simpro
- 1Open Integrations from the menu on the left. Simpro is near the top of the page, after the custom integration tile if you are an administrator.
- 2Click Connect. The Connect Simpro window opens.
- 3Enter the Base URL and the Access token. Both are required. Company ID is already 0. Change it only if this build uses another company.
- 4Click Connect.

If anything is wrong, the window stays open so you can correct it. The messages you may see are:
- Simpro request failed (401) for /api/v1.0/companies/, shown in the window and at the top of the page: Simpro did not accept the key. Check the address and the key for a missing character or a stray space. A different status, such as 403, means the address was reached but the key is not allowed to list companies.
- Base URL must use https, in the window, if the address does not start with
https:/. This one stays in the window and is not repeated at the top of the page./ - Enter the Simpro build URL or Enter the Simpro API key, under a box: that box is empty. Simpro base URL must be a valid https URL means the address is not a proper web address.
- Only organisation administrators can connect Simpro. Your account is not an administrator. Ask one to connect.
- Could not verify Simpro credentials, or Failed to connect to Simpro, when Centrus cannot read a more specific reason from Simpro.
Enable it for everyone else
Once an administrator has connected, everyone else sees Organisation connected by: with that person's name on the card, and the greyed-out Connect becomes Enable. Clicking Enable copies the organisation's connection to your own account, so you never need the key yourself. You see Simpro is ready for your account, which is a different message from the administrator's Successfully connected to Simpro. The card then shows Connected.

Simpro in chat
Ask Centrus to list or look up jobs, schedules, quotes, invoices and sites from your connected Simpro account. Connecting chat does not connect Agent Builder.
Diary questions use schedules and the Date field (not DateIssued).
Jobs raised use list_jobs and DateIssued.
An organisation administrator Connects once. Each user then Enables.
Diary: “What jobs do we have on Monday?”
Organisation connection
An organisation administrator pastes the API key once. Other users Enable the same account. Disconnect removes only your own access; the administrator's connection remains for the rest of the team.
The diary and jobs raised are different lists, and the window is telling you which date each one uses. The diary is who is going where: it uses the date the visit is planned. Jobs raised are jobs created in Simpro: they use the date the job was issued. If you ask "What jobs do we have on Monday?" you mean the diary. If you ask "What jobs were raised today?" you mean jobs issued today. A job raised last month can still be on Monday's diary.
- "What jobs do we have on Monday?"
- "What is Dylan Hughes doing tomorrow?"
- "What jobs were raised today?"
- "Find the site Riverside House."

What jobs do we have on Monday?
There are 5 visits on the diary for Monday 12/10/2026:
| Time | Job | Site | Staff | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 08:00 to 10:00 | 10482 | Riverside House | Dylan Hughes | 2 |
| 09:30 to 11:30 | 10479 | Harbour View Apartments, Flat 4 | Dylan Hughes | 2 |
| 10:00 to 11:00 | 10485 | Northgate Housing, head office | Priya Shah | 1 |
| 13:00 to 15:00 | 10488 | Riverside House | Liam Carter | 2 |
| 14:30 to 16:30 | 10491 | Harbour View Apartments, Flat 11 | Dylan Hughes | 2 |
Dylan Hughes has three of them, starting at Riverside House.
While Centrus works, the panel above the answer names each look-up as it happens, such as Listing schedules in Simpro or Getting a job from Simpro. When the answer is ready, the panel folds to Worked with the number of steps. Open it to see exactly what Centrus looked up in Simpro before it answered.
If you ask about the diary or about jobs raised without giving a date, Centrus looks at today. Carry on in the same chat, with questions like "Which of those are Dylan's?" or "Add a note to that job", and Centrus keeps track of the job or site you were talking about. A visit on the diary is labelled with the job number and the cost centre, joined together, such as 10482 and its cost centre. The job number on its own is enough for the next question.
What you can ask
Centrus has 51 Simpro tools in chat, and picks the right ones from what you ask, so you never choose them yourself. Every tool is listed in the reference.
Diary
“What jobs do we have on Monday?”
“What is Dylan Hughes doing tomorrow?”
Jobs
“What jobs were raised today?”
“Add a note to job 10482: tenant out, card left.”
Quotes

“Open the Northgate Housing customer.”
People
“Find the contact for 12 High Street.”
“List our staff.”
Vendor orders
“Raise a vendor order with City Plumbing.”
“What vendor orders were issued today?”
Files
“What files are on job 10482?”
“Download the risk assessment on that job.”
- Diary. The planned visits for a day or a range of days: job, quote, lead and activity schedules, with the staff member, the hours and the time blocks. Ask for one person's day, such as "What is Dylan Hughes doing tomorrow?", or for a site. Open one schedule when you need its own record. The diary does not use the date a job was issued.
- Jobs. Jobs issued on a date, or in a range you name, with the customer, the site, the stage, the status and the total. Open one job, its timeline, or the notes on it. Centrus can create a job (it needs a type of Project, Service or Prepaid, and a site), update it, add or update a note, and schedule or unschedule it. Scheduling reads the job first so it can place the visit on the right section and cost centre. You can say the person, the date and the times, such as 08:00 to 10:00.
- Quotes. Quotes issued on a date or in a range, and one quote with its timeline and notes. Centrus can create a quote (it needs a customer, a site and a type of Project, Service or Prepaid), update it, and add or update a note. Creating a quote does not send it.
- Invoices and credit notes. Invoices issued on a date or in a range, including whether each one is paid, and one invoice's details. Centrus can create an invoice against a job, as a tax invoice, deposit, progress invoice or request for claim, and can update an invoice. A new invoice is a record in Simpro. Credit notes can be listed and opened, and cannot be created or changed from chat. Invoices have no files to download from chat.
- Customers and sites. Find a customer or a site by name or by number, and open it. Centrus will not list every customer or every site in the build. A customer is either a company or an individual, and opening one tries the company record and then the individual record. Centrus can create and update both kinds, and can create or rename a site. A new company customer needs a company name. A new individual needs a given name and a family name.
- Contacts and staff. Contacts here are people records, not the contacts stored on a site. Find one by name or number. Centrus can create a contact (a given name is required) and update a name. Staff can be listed without a search, and one staff record can be opened. Staff are not created from chat. Scheduling a job needs a staff member from this list, matched by name when you say "Dylan Hughes".
- Vendors and vendor orders. A vendor is a supplier. Find one by name or number. A vendor order is the order you raise with that supplier. List the orders issued on a date or in a range, open one, create one (it needs the vendor, and can be a catalogue order or a description order) or update one. Chat does not add lines to the order.
- Files. List the files on a job, quote, customer, site or vendor order, and download one. The download comes back as a link on the chat, valid for 7 days, rather than as the raw file in the answer. Files over 20MB are refused. Invoices are not in this list.
Companies on the build can be listed too. You rarely need to ask. Company ID 0 is a normal value, and Centrus is told not to demand a company before it answers.
Some questions Simpro can answer from the date alone, such as Monday's diary or quotes issued this week. A customer name, a status or "still open" is applied afterwards, to the rows Simpro has already returned for those dates. Say the date you mean, such as planned, issued or the last 30 days, so the right rows are fetched before that filter runs. A record that does not match the name or status you asked for is left out.

Which quotes for Northgate Housing were issued in the last 30 days and are still open?
4 quotes for Northgate Housing were issued between 09/09/2026 and 09/10/2026 and are still open:
| Quote | Name | Issued | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2291 | Boiler replacement, Riverside House | 12/09/2026 | £6,240.00 |
| 2296 | Emergency lighting, Harbour View | 18/09/2026 | £1,180.80 |
| 2298 | Fire alarm test, head office | 26/09/2026 | £2,904.00 |
| 2303 | Radiator programme, Flat 11 | 02/10/2026 | £840.00 |
Quote 2291 is the largest. Shall I draft a chaser for it?
Making changes
20 of the 51 tools change data in Simpro: they create or update a job, quote, invoice, customer, site, contact or vendor order, add or update a note, schedule a job, or remove a job from the diary. Each change shows as its own step in the panel above the answer, such as Scheduling a job in Simpro or Creating a vendor order in Simpro.
Centrus is told that the connected Simpro tools can create and update jobs, quotes, invoices, customers, sites, contacts and vendor orders, and can schedule jobs. That instruction does not tell Centrus to wait for a second confirmation. When your request is clear, Centrus makes the change in Simpro straight away. It asks you first only when the request itself is unclear. Name the job, quote, invoice, customer or site, give the values you want, and check the result in Simpro.

Schedule job 10482 for Dylan Hughes on Monday 12/10/2026, 08:00 to 10:00.
Done. Job 10482 at Riverside House is on Dylan Hughes's diary for Monday 12/10/2026, 08:00 to 10:00.
Open the diary in Simpro to check it before the morning starts.
Some changes cannot be taken back from chat:
- Removing a visit from the diary deletes that schedule in Simpro. Asking to schedule the job again creates a new visit. The deleted one is not restored.
- Updating a job, quote, invoice, note, customer, site, contact or vendor order overwrites what was there. There is no tool that puts the previous values back. Change them again in chat, or correct them in Simpro.
- Creating a job, quote, invoice, note, customer, site, contact or vendor order leaves that record in Simpro. Chat cannot delete those records. Credit notes cannot be created from chat at all.
There is no tool that applies one change to every row of a list. Each change is one record. If you name two jobs in the same message, Centrus still schedules them one after another, and each one shows as its own step. A list you asked for earlier in the chat stays available for 24 hours, so you can say "that job" or ask for the next page, and then ask for the change on the record you mean.

Schedule job 10488 for Liam Carter the same day, 13:00 to 15:00, as well.
Job 10488 is now on Liam Carter's diary for Monday 12/10/2026, 13:00 to 15:00. That was a separate change from job 10482.
If a change you expect is missing, an administrator may have switched that tool off for you. Centrus is told not to substitute a different Simpro tool when the one you need is not available, including when a file download is switched off. The next section is where that switch is set.
Choose who can use which tools
An administrator can switch individual Simpro tools off for one person on Settings, Simpro Tools, or for a whole team under Team Simpro Tools when editing the team. The screen is titled Simpro Tools and reads Choose which Simpro tools each user can use in chat. It appears once an administrator has connected Simpro. A person's own setting wins over their team's. With no personal setting, a tool switched off by any of their teams is off. With nothing set, every tool is on. The Integrations overview explains both screens in full.

Team Simpro Tools

Team Simpro Tools is on the edit-team window, for an administrator, once Simpro is connected. The switch is labelled Apply team-level Simpro Tools. Until it is on, the team's ticks are not used. Save Team Simpro Tools stores the switch and any ticks you have changed. The line under the title says this switch does not change BigChange team tool permissions: it is about this Simpro switch only. A person who belongs to more than one team is switched off for a tool when any of those teams has it off, unless that person has their own setting.
Limits
- Today, unless you say otherwise. The diary, jobs raised, quotes, invoices, credit notes and vendor orders look at today when you do not give a date. Ask for tomorrow, Monday, the last 7 days, the last 30 days, last week (Monday to Sunday), a week starting on a named day, or two dates such as 01/09/2026 to 30/09/2026.
- A name is required for some lists. Customers, sites, contacts and vendors will not list the whole build. Ask with a name or a number. Staff can be listed without a search.
- How much comes back. Centrus asks Simpro for up to 5 pages of 200 rows, which is 1,000 rows. The answer is given the first 20 matching rows, and the full set of matches is kept on that chat for 24 hours so later questions can count them, show the next 20, or refer back to a row. If Simpro has more pages than those 5, the result is marked truncated. Narrow the dates rather than treating the list as complete.
- Names and statuses are filtered afterwards. A customer name or a status such as "still open" is applied to the rows already fetched for the dates, not sent to Simpro as its own search. If the date window is today, a customer who has no quote issued today will not appear, even if they have older open quotes.
- One record at a time. There is no bulk change. Each create, update or schedule is its own call.
- When Simpro is slow or busy. Each request waits up to 60 seconds. Centrus does not retry a failed Simpro call on its own. Ask again if the answer says Simpro could not be reached.
- Files. A download is a link on the chat for 7 days, and a file over 20MB is refused. Invoices have no attachments in chat. Credit notes are read only.
- The diary and jobs raised stay separate. A question with no date about "jobs today" follows the diary when you mean who is out, and jobs issued today when you mean what was raised. Say which you mean if the first answer is the other list.

Which quotes for Northgate Housing were issued in the last 30 days and are still open?
A long list stays on Listing quotes in Simpro, or the matching line for jobs, schedules or invoices, until Simpro has returned the pages. The line does not count pages or rows while it runs. When it finishes, it folds into Worked like any other answer. If you gave two dates, the step can show that range beside the label.
Disconnect
Disconnect on the card removes your own connection only. It happens straight away, without asking you to confirm, and you see Integration disconnected. The card goes back to Enable if the organisation still has a connection, so you can turn Simpro on again at any time.

- 1Disconnect, which removes your own connection without asking you to confirm.
- 2Enable, to turn Simpro back on from the organisation's connection.
When an administrator disconnects, only that person's own connection goes. Everyone who has already clicked Enable keeps working, because each person holds their own copy of the key. Someone who has not enabled yet can still enable from a connection that remains, and the card names the person that copy came from.
To stop all access from Centrus at once, withdraw or change the API key in Simpro, and every copy stops working. Copies do not pick up a new key by themselves. Once a new key is issued, the administrator connects again and everyone else clicks Disconnect, then Enable.
Troubleshooting
- Centrus answers as though Simpro is not connected. Check that the card says Connected for you, and click Enable if it does not. If it already says Connected, an administrator may have switched your tools off on Simpro Tools, or your copy of the key may no longer be readable. Click Disconnect, then Enable, to take a fresh copy.
- Simpro request failed (401) for a path such as
/. Simpro no longer accepts the key, usually because it was changed or withdrawn. The administrator connects again with the current key, then everyone else clicks Disconnect and Enable.api/ v1.0/ companies/ 0/ schedules/ - Simpro request failed (403). The key was accepted as far as the address, but it is not allowed to do what you asked. Ask whoever manages Simpro to give the key that permission.
- Simpro request failed (429), or 502, 503 or 504, or a request that simply does not return. Simpro was busy, refused the rate, or did not answer within 60 seconds. Centrus does not retry on its own. Ask again in a minute.
- Stored Simpro access token is invalid. Please reconnect. or Simpro credentials are incomplete. Please reconnect. Your copy of the key cannot be read. Click Disconnect, then Enable. If Enable fails too, the administrator connects again first.
- No Simpro connection found. Please ask your administrator to connect first. You clicked Enable, but no connection is left in the organisation to copy. Ask an administrator to connect. Failed to enable Simpro is the same moment when Centrus has no more specific reason.
- The diary and the jobs you expected do not match. You asked without a date, so Centrus looked at today, or you asked about the diary when you meant jobs issued, or the other way round. Name the day and say "on the diary" or "raised".
- search or id is required for customers, sites, contacts or vendors. Centrus will not list the whole build. Ask again with a name, such as Northgate Housing or Riverside House.
- A file will not download. Invoices have no files in chat. A file over 20MB is refused with Attachment is larger than 20MB. If the download tool is switched off for you, Centrus should say it cannot, rather than answering from a different Simpro tool.
- The list looks short. You were given the first 20 matches. Ask Centrus to carry on. If the dates cover a busy period, Simpro may have had more than 1,000 rows, and the rest were not fetched. Narrow the dates.

What is Dylan Hughes doing on Monday?
I couldn't get Monday's diary. Simpro refused the key with Simpro request failed (401) for /api/v1.0/companies/0/schedules/, which usually means the API key was changed or withdrawn in Simpro. Ask your administrator to reconnect Simpro on the Integrations page.
