Joblogic in chat
Connect Joblogic once for the organisation, then ask Centrus about jobs, engineers, customers, sites, quotes and purchase orders, or ask it to log a job, raise a quote or attach worksheet photos.
Checked against the app on
What it does
Joblogic connects Centrus chat to your organisation's Joblogic account. When an administrator has connected it, you can ask about jobs, engineers, customers, sites, quotes, purchase orders and job assets in an ordinary chat, and Centrus looks the answer up in Joblogic while you wait. It can also make changes when you ask: log a job, raise a quote or a purchase order, or attach the photos from a subcontractor's worksheet to a job. Your records stay in Joblogic.

An administrator connects Joblogic once for the whole organisation, and everyone else then clicks Enable on the same card. - Three values from Joblogic: the Client ID, the Client Secret and the Tenant ID. Joblogic issues them for API access. The tenant ID is a GUID, such as
7c4e9a12-3b6d-4f80-9a21-6d8e1f0c4b77. If you do not have them, ask whoever manages your Joblogic account. - A client ID and secret that Joblogic will accept. Before anything is saved, Centrus asks Joblogic's identity service for an access token, at
POST https:/. If Joblogic refuses, nothing is stored. The tenant ID is not part of that check. The window checks only that it is a GUID, so make sure it is your organisation's account./ identityservice.joblogic.com/ connect/ token
Client ID
The API client Joblogic issued to your organisation.
Client Secret
The secret for that client. Centrus stores it encrypted.
Tenant ID
Your Joblogic account, as a GUID. Only its format is checked.
The credentials belong to the organisation, not to one person. Everyone who enables Joblogic works through the same API client, so a change made from chat is made with those credentials, whoever asked for it. - Failed to connect to Joblogic, at the top of the page, when Centrus cannot read a more specific reason.

Enable it for everyone else
Once an administrator has connected, everyone else sees Organisation connected by: with that administrator's name on the card, and the greyed-out Not Available becomes Enable. Clicking Enable copies the administrator's connection to your own account, so you never need the client secret yourself. That count is out of date: there are 28 Joblogic tools in chat, including logging jobs, raising quotes and purchase orders, and attaching worksheet photos, which the window does not mention. Every tool is listed in the reference. One of the window's examples, "What jobs are scheduled for today?", needs care: chat has no diary, so see Limits before you rely on it.

Which jobs are open at Riverside House?
There are 3 open jobs at Riverside House for Northgate Housing: 2 at New Job and 1 Allocated.
| Job | Description | Status | Logged |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10482 | Boiler not firing, Flat 4 | Allocated | 09/10/2026 |
| 10488 | Communal lighting fault, stairwell B | New Job | 12/10/2026 |
| 10491 | Door entry handset not ringing, Flat 11 | New Job | 12/10/2026 |
Job 10482 has been open the longest, since 09/10/2026.
While Centrus works, the panel above the answer names each look-up as it happens, such as Listing open jobs in Joblogic or Getting a job from Joblogic, with the name you searched for beside it. When the answer is ready, the panel folds to Worked with the number of steps. Open it to see exactly what Centrus looked up in Joblogic before it answered.
Joblogic gives each job two numbers: the job number you see in Joblogic, such as 10482, and an ID it keeps behind the scenes, such as 1126891. Opening a job needs the ID, so when you give a job number, Centrus is told to find the job by that number first. Customers work the same way: a name is searched for before the customer is opened. Carry on in the same chat, with questions like "Which of those are allocated?" or "Log a job at that site", and Centrus keeps track of the job or site you were talking about.
What you can ask
Centrus has 28 Joblogic tools in chat, and picks the right ones from what you ask, so you never choose them yourself. Every tool is listed in the reference.
Jobs
“Which jobs are open at Riverside House?”
“Log a job at Harbour View Apartments: lift alarm sounding.”
Engineers and staff
“Show me details for engineer Dylan Hughes.”
“Which engineer teams do we have?”
Customers and sites
“Find the customer Northgate Housing.”
“List the sites for Northgate Housing.”
Quotes
“How many Northgate Housing quotes are outstanding?”
“Raise a quote for Riverside House: new door entry panel, £1,250.”
Purchase orders
“List purchase orders for job 10482.”
“Show purchase order 4471.”
Worksheet photos
“Which photos are in this worksheet?”
“Attach them to job 10482.”
Job and quote sheets
“Send me the jobsheet for job 10482.”
“Get the quotesheet for quote 2291.”
Job assets
“What assets are on job 10482?”
“Show the boiler on that job.”
- Jobs. There are two lists. Open jobs are jobs at New Job or Allocated: New Job is freshly logged with nothing done yet, and Allocated means an engineer has been assigned. Centrus fetches every page of both, shows up to 100 jobs, and gives the total with the split between the two. All jobs covers every status, open, completed or cancelled, and gives Joblogic's total count with one page of results. Both can be narrowed to a customer, a site, a keyword, or the dates the jobs were logged. Open one job for its address, appointment and completion dates, status, type, category and priority. Centrus can also log a job: see Making changes.
- Engineers and staff. Find engineers by name or email, with their contact details, address and whether they are a mobile engineer. Inactive engineers are left out unless you ask for them. Open one engineer for their working hours. List engineer teams, with their trades, areas and number of members. Open an office staff member by their ID.
- Customers and sites. Find a customer by name, account number or reference, and open one for its address, type, account number, contacts and tags. Find sites by name, for one customer if you like, and open one for its full address and site reference. Both lists include inactive customers and sites. A contact can be opened by its ID for their phone, mobile, email and position.
- Quotes. Find quotes for a customer or a site, by keyword, or by the dates they were created. Each answer carries a count of every matching quote by status: outstanding (Outstanding and Quote Sent), accepted (Approved and Upgraded, where Upgraded means the quote became a job), rejected, expired and cancelled. Centrus is told to report those counts rather than counting the rows on screen. Open one quote for its lines and total. Centrus can also raise a quote.
- Purchase orders. List purchase orders for a job, a supplier or a keyword. With no dates, the list covers orders raised in the last 90 days. Open one for its lines, supplier, status and total. Centrus can also raise a purchase order.
- Worksheet photos. Attach a subcontractor's PDF worksheet to the chat, and Centrus can find the site photos in it and add them to a job in Joblogic. See Making changes.
- Jobsheets and quotesheets. Ask for the jobsheet of a job, or the quotesheet of a quote, and Joblogic generates the PDF. Centrus saves it and gives you a link in the answer, valid for 7 days. Centrus is told to do this only when you ask for the PDF.
- Job assets. List the assets on one job, such as a boiler or a fire panel, with their type, serial number, location and status, and open one asset. The list needs the job, so Centrus finds the job first.
- Job types, categories and priorities. List the labels your Joblogic uses. Centrus uses them to match your words when it logs a job or raises a quote, so "urgent" finds Urgent.
Counts and rows are different. The quote status counts cover every matching quote, up to 1,000, but the rows in an answer are one page of up to 50. Ask for the count when you need a number, and narrow by customer, site or dates when you need the rows themselves.

How many quotes for Northgate Housing are outstanding?
Northgate Housing has 46 quotes in Joblogic, and 9 are outstanding. That counts quotes not yet sent and quotes sent and waiting for a reply.
| Status | Quotes |
|---|---|
| Outstanding | 9 |
| Accepted | 28 |
| Rejected | 5 |
| Expired | 3 |
| Cancelled | 1 |
Accepted includes quotes that were upgraded to jobs. Shall I list the 9 outstanding quotes?
Making changes
4 of the 28 tools change data in Joblogic: they log a job, raise a quote, raise a purchase order, or attach worksheet photos to a job. Each change shows as its own step in the panel above the answer, such as Creating a job in Joblogic or Creating a quote in Joblogic.
Centrus is told to use these tools only when you explicitly ask it to log a job, raise a quote or raise a purchase order. That instruction does not tell Centrus to wait for a second confirmation. When your request is clear, Centrus makes the change in Joblogic straight away. Worksheet photos are the exception: Centrus is told to show you what it found and ask you before it attaches them. Name the site, give the description and any type, category or priority you want, and check the result in Joblogic.

Log a job at Riverside House: communal door closer broken on the ground floor. Urgent priority, and their PO number is NH-7731.
Done. Job 10494 is logged at Riverside House for Northgate Housing, as a Reactive job with Urgent priority. Its status is New Job, and the customer's order number NH-7731 is on the job.
Ask me for the jobsheet if you need the PDF.
- Logging a job needs a site and a description. The customer comes from the site. If you name a customer who does not own that site, the job is refused with a message saying which customer the site belongs to. The type is Reactive unless you say otherwise, the status is New Job, and the date logged is now. You can add a category, a priority, the customer's order number, your own reference, a preferred appointment, and target attendance and completion dates. Each job logged from chat gets an external ID starting
EXT-. Ask for the jobsheet at the same time if you want the PDF straight away. - Types, categories and priorities are matched to the labels in your Joblogic, first exactly and then more loosely, so "urgent" finds Urgent. If nothing matches, the job is not logged, and the message lists up to 20 valid labels.
- Raising a quote needs a site and a description, and the customer comes from the site. It can have a title, a type, a category, a priority, your reference, a parent job, an expiry date, a contact, a phone number and an email address. Each price line is added as an Other line, with the sell price per unit excluding VAT. If a line fails, the quote is still created, and the answer says which line failed. Chat has no tool that sends a quote to the customer.
- Raising a purchase order needs the job, the supplier and at least one line with a description, a quantity above 0 and a unit price of 0 or more. Chat has no tool that searches for suppliers, so Centrus needs the supplier's ID from Joblogic. The order can also carry an account number, delivery details, instructions and a reference.
Nothing created from chat can be changed or removed from chat. There are no tools that update, cancel or delete a job, quote or purchase order, change a job's status or remove a photo from a job. Correct a mistake in Joblogic itself. There is also no tool that applies one change to many records: each job, quote, order or photo is its own call.
Worksheet photos. When a subcontractor sends a PDF worksheet, attach it to the chat and ask Centrus to put its photos on the job. Centrus reads the most recent PDF in the chat, up to 15MB, and pulls out the images. Images that repeat across pages, such as a logo, and images under 150 pixels or 20KB are dropped. Up to 8 of the largest are checked by an AI vision step, which keeps genuine site photos and gives each a short label, such as Pre-start photo or Completion photo. Attaching needs the job, so Centrus finds it from the job number. Each photo is then added to the job in Joblogic as its own form, named Subcontractor photo followed by its label. If no genuine photos are found, Centrus can attach the whole PDF instead, as Subcontractor worksheet (source PDF).

This is the subcontractor's worksheet for job 10482. Put the photos on the job.
I found 4 site photos in Worksheet 10482 Flat 4.pdf: Pre-start photo, Boiler close-up, Flue check and Completion photo. 3 other images were logos or too small, so I have left them out.
Shall I attach the 4 photos to job 10482?
Yes, attach them.
Attached 4 photos from Worksheet 10482 Flat 4.pdf to job 10482. Each one is on the job as Subcontractor photo, followed by its label.
If a change you expect is missing, an administrator may have switched that tool off for you. The next section is where that switch is set.
Choose who can use which tools
An administrator can switch individual Joblogic tools off for one person on Settings, JobLogic Tools, or for a whole team under Team JobLogic Tools when editing the team. The screen is titled JobLogic Tools and reads Choose which JobLogic tools each user can use in chat. It appears once an administrator has connected Joblogic. A person's own setting wins over their team's. With no personal setting, a tool switched off by any of their teams is off. With nothing set, every tool is on. The Integrations overview explains both screens in full.

Type one word: on this screen the box matches the tool's underlying name, in which the words are not separated by spaces, so open jobs finds nothing while open finds List Open Jobs. A tick you change is marked user until you save. Save Changes stays grey until something has changed. The line under the filters counts the people and tools on screen, and the unsaved changes.

Team JobLogic Tools is on the edit-team window, for an administrator, once Joblogic is connected. The switch is labelled Apply team-level JobLogic Tools. Until it is on, the team's ticks are hidden and not used. Save Team JobLogic Tools stores the switch and any ticks you have changed, and you see Team JobLogic Tools saved. The line under the title says this switch does not change BigChange team tool permissions: it is about this Joblogic switch only. A person who belongs to more than one team is switched off for a tool when any of those teams has it off, unless that person has their own setting.
Limits
- No diary. Chat has no visit or schedule tool, so it cannot list the jobs booked for a day or say where an engineer is going. Dates you give for jobs filter the date a job was logged. A question such as "What jobs are scheduled for today?" is answered from jobs, not from the diary. Open a job to see its appointment date.
- Open means New Job or Allocated. A job at any other status, such as Awaiting Parts, is not in the open jobs list. Ask for all jobs at the site or customer to see it.
- How much comes back. Open jobs show up to 100 jobs, with the full counts. All jobs shows one page: 20 jobs, or 5 when you search for something, and never more than 50, with the total Joblogic reports. Engineers, engineer teams, sites, customers, quotes, purchase orders and job assets show up to 50 rows. Narrow the list by customer, site, keyword or dates rather than treating a long list as complete.
- Quote counts reach further than the rows. The status counts cover up to 1,000 quotes. A customer with more than that is only partly counted.
- Purchase orders look back 90 days. With no dates, only orders raised in the last 90 days are listed.
- One record at a time, and no edits. There is no bulk change, and nothing created from chat can be updated or deleted from chat.
- When Joblogic is slow. Centrus sets no time limit of its own on a Joblogic look-up, and does not retry one that fails. A jobsheet or quotesheet download waits up to 60 seconds, and a worksheet PDF up to 30 seconds.
- Files. A jobsheet or quotesheet link lasts 7 days. A worksheet PDF over 15MB is not read.

How many quotes for Northgate Housing are outstanding?
A long list stays on Listing quotes in Joblogic, or the matching line for jobs, until Joblogic has returned the pages. Quotes take the longest, because Centrus counts the statuses across up to 20 pages. The line does not count pages or rows while it runs. When it finishes, it folds into Worked like any other answer. If a line has not moved for a long time, stop the answer and ask again.
Disconnect
Disconnect on the card removes your own connection only. It happens straight away, without asking you to confirm, and you see Integration disconnected. The card goes back to Enable while an administrator is still connected, so you can turn Joblogic on again at any time. An administrator who disconnects sees Configure again.

- Search for customers and sites
- Get engineer details and schedules
- View quotes and purchase orders
- 1Disconnect, which removes your own connection without asking you to confirm.
- 2Enable, to turn Joblogic back on from the organisation's connection.
When an administrator disconnects, only that person's own connection goes. Everyone who has already clicked Enable keeps working, because each person holds their own copy of the credentials. Someone who has not enabled yet can enable only while at least one administrator is connected. Until then, their card reads Not Available.
To stop all access from Centrus at once, withdraw the client secret in Joblogic. Each copy stops working when its current access token runs out and Centrus asks Joblogic for a new one. Copies do not pick up new credentials by themselves. Once Joblogic issues a new secret, the administrator clicks Disconnect, then Configure, and enters it. Everyone else then clicks Disconnect, then Enable.
Troubleshooting
- Centrus answers as though Joblogic is not connected. Check that the card says Connected for you, and click Enable if it does not. If it already says Connected, an administrator may have switched your tools off on JobLogic Tools.
- Request failed with status code 401, or 400, in an answer. Joblogic no longer accepts the credentials, usually because the client secret was changed or withdrawn. The administrator clicks Disconnect, then Configure with the current secret, and everyone else clicks Disconnect and Enable.
- Every question fails straight after connecting. The tenant ID may be wrong, because the window checks only its format. The administrator disconnects and connects again with the right tenant ID, then everyone else clicks Disconnect and Enable.
- No Joblogic connection found. Please ask your administrator to connect first. You clicked Enable, but no administrator is connected. Ask one to connect.
- The answer to "What jobs are scheduled for today?" is not the diary. Chat cannot read the diary, so it answered from jobs. Ask for open jobs at a site or for a customer, and open a job for its appointment date.
- A job you expected is not in the open jobs. It is at a status other than New Job or Allocated. Ask for all jobs at that site.
- A job type, category or priority is not a valid Joblogic label. Your word matched none of the labels in your Joblogic. The message lists up to 20 that are valid. Ask again with one of them.
- Customer/Site mismatch. The site you named belongs to a different customer. Check the site, or leave the customer out so Centrus takes it from the site.
- A quote was created but a line failed. The answer names the quote and the line. The quote is in Joblogic without that line, so add it in Joblogic.
- No PDF worksheet attachment was found in this conversation. Attach the PDF to the chat, then ask again. Centrus uses the most recent PDF in the chat.
- No genuine jobsite photos were found. Every image was a logo, a banner or too small. Ask Centrus to attach the whole PDF to the job instead.
- The list looks short. You were given one page. Ask for open jobs for the full count, or narrow by customer, site, keyword or dates.

I couldn't get the open jobs. Joblogic refused the request with Request failed with status code 401, which usually means the client secret was changed or withdrawn in Joblogic. Ask your administrator to reconnect Joblogic on the Integrations page.
Tools and endpoints reference
There are 28 Joblogic tools in chat: 24 read from Joblogic and 4 change data. The names below match the columns on Settings, JobLogic Tools. Every tool calls https:/ with the tenant ID saved when an administrator connected, except Preview Worksheet Photos, which reads the PDF in the chat. Where a tool needs a job, customer or site ID, Centrus finds the record first if you give a name or a job number such as 10482.
